The Robert Jack story

 

Robert Jack the first arrived in Australia in 1856, before moving to his property, Silverburn, West of Rutherglen in 1860. His time was occupied by his vineyard, Clydesdale Stud, bone mill, dairy herd and wheat production. However, he was a man also known to enjoy fishing and poetry – known to be written with inspiration and sensitivity.
